TIPS FOR STRINGS
I'm using the SAVAREZ new Cantiga Alliance (red) and they are amazing on my guitar. I also tried last month the Tomatito set and it's also very good.
TIPS FOR REPERTOIRE AND CUTTING SCORES
I want to share with you amazing ressources on the internet. I thank deeply the musicians who shared it with me. I never ever use glue and scissors to arrange my scores!
Partify This is completely free: you scan your score, download it online and cut it on line. Rearrange, cut parts, and..you print it! So useful for chamber music to get the parts. Please share it! (thanks my sister!)
Sheerpluck The most amazing researcher online for contemporary repertoire for guitar or with guitar. I still can't believe it. Share it! (thanks David Tanembaum)
TIPS FOR NAILS
Nail hardener HEROME (the blue one). Read the notice and use no more than 15 days. It makes a huge difference. You can find it any big shop (Sephora, Douglas and some parapharmacies).
Nailtiques To protect your nails when you have to play some flamenco, gypsy jazz, or to be safer in a tour
then add SECHE VITE™ (thanks Scott Tenant)
Try also the Savarez Kit if you need to repair a nail or reinforce your nail for a tour or an exam.
TIPS TO POLISH YOUR NAILS
Amazing papers to polish your nails: MICROMESH (3600,6000,8000, 12000). You can find it: here (for France) or here for a very competitive price, the complet kit.
Just before going on stage, add Baume nourissant Sephora, it will let some grease on your nails. Give it a try and give me your feedback. You'll be faster than ever and it's a very good feeling to begin your concert.
TIPS FOR YOUR POSITION
I use in concert both Ergoplay and the X-Strap (you can get it here: firstname.lastname@example.org and ak for the X-strap). This strap needs no adjustment on your guitar.
TIPS FROM GREAT MUSICIANS
Check the tips from David Russell. So helpful and inspiring !
TIPS FOR A TUNER
I use ince a few monthes the very small NS micro Tuner de Planet Waves. A must have!
TIPS FOR A METRONOME
I use since a long time the very best metronome (many rythms, a very nice ton, etc) the famous Dr Beat de Boss. Choose a metronome with a nice tone, that's the only way you'll wish to use it!
BOXES WITH MATERIAL ABOUT THE MUSIC I PLAY
Before any interpretation or any recording, there is a lot of research, questions and materials to gather. I'm sharing this with you, musicians or not, to give you more understanding on a specific piece or some tips to solve some technical triggering points.
You will find of course a complete booklet for each track of my new Cd "Chaconnes & Passacailles" as well some bonus (scores, links to go further into a topic, videos) as well as what i have found in my boxes about my programs and repertoire.
The project is also to publish my arrangements as soon as possible.
Welcome to my boxes' storage! I'm going to fill it slowly and unpack old and new boxes.
